My tiara is still tingling as I write this. Sunday evening we attended the Kirstie Kelly for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings presentation. Held at the Starlight Ballroom at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, it was much more than a runway show; it was a feel-good experience.
The final look, a strapless beaded bodice, box pleated ball gown with beading detail and removable beaded sleeves, twinkled just as a Disney princess would.
And there was some exciting news: Kirstie Kelly is introducing The Red Label Collection, designed exclusively for plus-size princesses (up to size 32). I had previewed the collection of six dresses a few weeks earlier at the Chicago Bridal Market, but this was the first time I had seen the gowns on models. They looked great.
But the Princess Blossoms flower girl collection stole the show. The young ladies had the crowd ooh'ing and ah'ing as they tiptoed down the runway sprinkling their flower petals along the way. The new pink Cotton Candy flower girl dress is sure to be every little girl's favorite. It certainly was one of mine. —Michelle Preli
