Portrait locations

Ultimately the background of your wedding photos matter, because it's how you will remember it for years to come. And Colorado certainly has no shortage of gorgeous backdrops. We asked photographer Jennifer Polixenni Brankin of Poli Weddings to share one of her favorite locations to take couple portraits, and here's what she had to say:

"One of my favorite places is Lily Lake, near Estes Park and just off the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway, also known as Loop Seven," says Jennifer. "This outdoor location backs up to the Rocky Mountain National Park, so there are lots of beautiful Aspen and Pine trees around, plus the lake, to help create an awesome 'one-with-nature' feel. I like to just let the bride and groom interact in the space—the juxtaposition of their formal wear against the rugged surroundings makes for beautiful wall prints."
