If you like the idea of a tented reception by the water but don't want to hold your wedding on the Vineyard or Nantucket, consider the Pavilion at the Museum of Science in Boston. Situated right on the Charles River, the Pavilion offers views of the Longfellow Bridge. Cocktail tables can be set up near the water's edge, while dinner and dancing for up to 225 guests can be held under the permanent tent. Site fees start at $2,600 during off-peak times of year and go up to $5,500. Food and cocktails are provided by Wolfgang Puck catering and include New England-themed options like clambakes and lobster.
