New York-based Cake Alchemy showed off some fabulous desserts at a presentation this fashion week that got me thinking about how to use your wedding dress as inspiration for your cake. Wedding Wisdom: You don't have to be a fashion designer to see your style reflected in your dessert: many bakers can create designs, toppers and other elements to match your wedding gown. When you meet with your baker, bring in your gown, photos or fabric swatches to begin brainstorming ideas—just be sure to ask your groom to wait outside if you don't want him to see your dress!
