Take a picture, it'll last longer

While having a photobooth at your reception is hardly a novel idea, it definitely is a guaranteed good time. The most memorable wedding I attended last year involved many trips to the photobooth with old friends from high school. The bride and groom even provided props—they blew up photographs of themselves making funny faces and attached the pictures to paddle fan sticks.

Locally, you can book a digital photobooth for your wedding through the Muskegon-based Photobooth Company. Choose from color or black-and-white (that's most popular); their packages even include web hosting of all the shots. Rates start at $1,000 for four hours. —Heather Lee, Assistant Editor, Brides Local Magazines
