Reel Review: My Best Friend's Girl

Bridesmaids, Celebrity

Courtesy of Lionsgate

Tank (Dane Cook) is paid to take girls out on the worst dates of their lives so they go running back to their ex-boyfriends. He tries everything from the blasting offensive music in the car to leaving his dates with the bill at what only can be described as unsanitary restaurants. But when his best friend Dustin (Jason Biggs) can't get over his short-lived relationship with Alexis (Kate Hudson), Tank steps to make her life miserable. The problem is, she eats it up.

During their back and forth relationship Alexis takes Tanks to her sister's wedding where he realizes he has to end it for both Dustin and Alexis' sake so he puts on a parade of wedding guest nightmares that include asking to cut in on the bride and groom's first dance, hitting on the mother-of-the-bride and eating from the buffet with his hands.

While it may be entertaining to watch in movies, it certainly wouldn't be funny if it happened at your own wedding. You can't control who your family and friends bring as their dates so ask a bridesmaid or close friend to be in charge of managing troublesome guests, and make sure none of them are paid to be there to stir up trouble! —Cari Wolfert
