We've written a few posts on the details of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's wedding—click here to see the photos that appeared in People magazine and here to read an interview with jeweler Neil Lane. On yesterday's show Ellen featured a video of the wedding - the vendors setting the table, the cake, the brides seeing each other for the first time.
In addition to being a romantic video, which will definitely make you sigh, there are a few bits of Wedding Wisdom you can learn from the happy couple...
1. If you plan on taking photos together before the ceremony make the moment you see each other for the first time special. Don't let friends or family see it and only allow your photographer and/or videographer there to capture it. Take a few minutes to enjoy the time together; you may not have a private moment until after the wedding.
2. As long as the site allows it feel free to include your pets in your wedding. You can take photos with them, have them walk down the aisle and even stand as best dog or dog-of-honor at the altar.
3. As the bride you will know what both your attire and the groom's will look like. Without letting him know any of your dress details you can still coordinate your looks. Select a tie for him to wear that will match the color or accents of your dress or buy him cufflinks that complement your theme. If you're concerned he'll figure out what you'll be wearing, have the best man give him the complementary accessories the morning of the wedding. —Anne Chertoff
