Last night, several editors from Brides.com and Brides Local magazines attended a cocktail party at designer Lara Hélène's gorgeous Bridal Atelier off Madison Avenue. It's a truly luxurious space for trying on gowns, and there were plenty to choose from! From 20's-inspired drop-waist dresses to more rustic linen gowns, I was amazed at the scope of Lara's work. Her vintage-inspired headpieces, displayed in a glass case, were gorgeous as well.
Of course, the friendly designer herself, dressed in a fabulous magenta floor-length dress, was there, mingling with guests, as we editors played a quick game of "choose your favorite gown." While it was difficult, I selected this gorgeous confection with a lace bodice and a tulle skirt that was totally ballerina-chic. You can check out all of Lara's designs on her website, larahelene.com —Kim Forrest
