Leave it to one of the fashion industry's most fun and eccentric designers to offer a truly unexpected take on bridal gowns during her spring '09 show. Along with sexy sheer, dainty bows and bundles of tulle, Betsey Johnson showed brides wearing white derbies, blunt-cut colorful wigs and, get this, handcuffs. "Betsey was inspired by children's fairytales and focused the theme of the show around Peter Pan," says Agatha Szczepaniak, Public Relations Director of Betsey Johnson, whose designer wore a Peter Pan-esque outfit and cap for her traditional stroll and cartwheel down the catwalk. Scenes in the show included Nighty Night, Hooks&Crooks, and, our favorite, Robbed Royalty ("hence the handcuffs"). We can't wait to see how these looks translate to the stores.
