Wedding rings are beautiful, but tattoos are forever. And these days celebrities aren't taking any chances with their love—inking everything from wedding dates to their future spouses' initials on themselves prove that their love is real, and will last forever. The most recent case is Howard Stern, who enlisted the help of Shanghai Kate to permanently mark a "B" on his ring finger in anticipation of his future nuptials to fiancee and model Beth Ostrosky.
Case #2. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's shotgun wedding was sealed with ink—Nick had his wife's name tattooed across his back, while Mariah got a tattoo of her signature butterfly with the words "Mrs. Cannon" stamped her lower back.
And then of course there is Eva Longoria, whose famous wedding date, 7/7/07, is tattooed on the inside of her wrist in Roman numerals.
It's hard to say if this will become a trend in the non-celeb circuit, but we feel it is necessary to point out that Howard Stern, Mariah Carey and Eva Longoria all have been married before, so maybe they feel that something more permanent is necessary to profess their love.
