From Carrie Bradshaw's feathered headpiece to the Carolina Herrera bridal runway, it seems like hair accessories are turning up everywhere you look. Most recently, I fell in love with the amazing hats and hairpieces in the historical drama Brideshead Revisited—like this enchanting tiara worn by Hayley Atwell, who portrayed the darkly beautiful Lady Julia.

Looking to channel a bit of pre-World World II glamour for your own nuptials? Emily Martin and Alexandra Kowalski of the fittingly named Brides Head Revisited use their historical and design backgrounds—they founded the company while working together at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art—to create dazzling hand-crafted designs.

There's more!

"We wanted to have a name that evoked our love of fashion history and couture quality fashions, but was also bridal," says Alexandra. "The play on words refers to us revisiting historical styles for inspiration in designing bridal accessories and also evokes the wonderful design period of the novel."

From combs and diadems to silk ribbon headbands, their pieces will add the perfect vintage-inspired accent to your bridal look. "The 1920's and 1930's are a fabulous period for fashion inspiration," says Alexandra. "I love the easy elegance of a crystal comb nestled in the side of a loosely styled updo." Check out all of their work at bridesheadrevisited.net and don't forget to go see the movie for a glimpse of British aristocratic style at its finest. —Kathryn Papanek
