Beautiful bride Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) stole the show in the deliciously campy Mamma Mia! with her infectious energy and bohemian loveliness. I loved the carefree exuberance of her wedding day look, so I was excited to get a chance to talk about her locks with hairstylist Zoe Tahir. "This style is really soft and flattering whatever the texture of your hair," she says. Check out Zoe's tips to learn how to replicate the bride's style for your own nuptials:
Begin by applying Confixor Liquid Gel by Aveda evenly through wet hair. Blow dry hair and curl, starting midway down the length of the hair. Carefree, natural looking curls are a key element of this style, so use irons with different-sized barrels to create the coils.
Next, braid a section of your hair across the top of your head like an Alice band (Zoe used a hair piece to preserve length and volume). Secure underneath with pins. Section your hair into two pieces, pulling them up and over the Alice band. Pass one piece over the top of the other, twirling the pieces as you go to create a twisted effect.
For the finishing touch, place real or artificial flowers in your hair. For Amanda's island-inspired style, Zoe used silk organza daisies. Place one large blossom behind your ear and another on the opposite side along your jawline. Scatter smaller flowers throughout your hair to create interest all the way down to the tips. Add Shine Spray by label.m to finish the look and get ready to dance the night away! —Kathryn Papanek
