Love is a battlefield

Here's a thought. Maybe the next time you and your hubby-to-be find yourself in a face-off without a resolution, settle it with a good old fashioned game of Battleship. (Remember the ads: H6? You sank my battleship!) Or a little Scrabble (spelling a joking 'I am right' or 'I love you,' can only help alleviate any tension). My guess is you'll have fun, crack a few jokes and likely forget what the argument was about. If not, you'll definitely have a clear winner. Well, our friends at Hasbro are putting a more positive spin on marketing its games to brides, saying that many are adding classics such as Monopoly, Scrabble and Sorry to their registry to build a healthy newlywed game closet. We don't know if you need a closet full but for we're all for taking a break from adult responsibilities and connecting with your inner or outer child. We're just surprised at one of Hasbro's touted best sellers to brides—Connect Four? —from our Local Scout Chicago blogger Beth Wilson
