Planning a wedding isn't always easy, and we have the mail to prove it! Here, we look at one of the toughest issues: invitation wording. Reader Jenny writes "We are having a small wedding with only a few friends and family but are hosting a big reception afterwards. How do I word invitations for guests who are invited to the reception only?"
While it's perfectly acceptable to invite guests to just the reception, you'll want to put the focus on that part of celebration. The goal is to make the reception sound extra special, so that the feelings of those not invited to the ceremony won't be hurt. If your parents are hosting the ceremony, an invitation like this one by Wedding Paper Divas is a great choice.—Kathryn Papanek
