Get to know: Eat Cake Be Merry

MerryI know it's nerdy, but I get excited when I come across talented new vendors. My favorite recent discovery is New York-based wedding cake designer Liz Shim of Eat Cake Be Merry. But she's no amateur: After graduating from the California Culinary Academy with a LeCordon Bleu certificate in baking and pastry arts, she earned her chops assisting the cake designers at Confetti Cakes and Lovin' Sullivan Cakes.
