James Abel, the fabulous New York City event designer, recently sent me photos from a wedding he produced in Peekskill. I was especially impressed with the bride's bouquet, and not just because of the lovely, cameo brooch detail. No, it was those perfect-shade-of-white roses. Their names? "Akito" and "Eskimo". "I use them often," says James. "They are pretty much the perfect bridal roses." Anyway, if you have your heart set on a white bouquet, as many brides do, I figured you would want to know about these two beauties, the way I always want to know about—and try—the "perfect" shade of red lipstick or red nail polish. —Amy Elliott, executive editor, Brides New York
