Sustainable wines

Courtesy of Kunde Family Estate
Northern California is the epicenter of the local and sustainable food movement, so it's no surprise that sustainable winegrowing has been gaining momentum on the Sonoma and Napa Valley scene. If you've been trying to make your wedding as eco-friendly as possible, but haven't yet given thought to the wines you'll be serving, consider those from the Kunde Family Estate.
Since 2005, the San Francisco Bay Area Green Business Program has awarded Kunde Family Estate with their Green Business Program Certification (the highest level). And in 2008, Kunde Family Estate received the GEELA Award, the Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award for their sustainable practices and facilities...
And if you want to do more than just pour their delicious wines at your event, you can host your wedding at the estate's Vineyard Terrace, adjacent to their tasting room, or on Boot Hill, an outdoor area overlooking the stunning Valley of the Moon. My favorite, however, is the idea of hosting a wedding inside the stone ruins of the Dunfillan Winery, set in a beautiful, secluded five-acre meadow surrounded by scenic vineyards, mountain views, and majestic oak trees.
