Twilight wedding news: a New Moon proposal, Bella's engagement ring and more
Courtesy of Amazon
Attention, fan-pire brides! The wait is finally over: New Moon opens this midnight (cue screams from 14-year-old girls everywhere). While I definitely wouldn't recommend planning a Twilight-themed wedding, I do think the girl-meets-vampire love story is great escapist entertainment—and full of dreamy romantic details. Check out a few of the best in our Twilight-wedding roundup:
Spoiler Alert! Get ready for Edward to get down on his knees: Screenwriter Melissa Rosenburg says that the sparkly vampire will pop the question in New Moon.
In the books, Edward proposes with an heirloom ring that is a described as a "long oval, set with slanting rows of glittering round stones." Like the style? Emitations has designed a ring based on Bella's engagement ring.
Who says only girls like vampire stories? This guy based his proposal on Twilight.
If you've ever wondered what Bella and Edward's wedding invitations might look like, satisfy your curiousity by taking at look at this fan's interpretation. —Kathryn Papanek

I don't think by 'Twilight themed' that they're insinuating having a similar wedding as Bella and Edward. I'm pretty sure they mean having Twilight-themed plates and napkins, etc. as decor. (Which I, too, would strongly recommend against doing.)
"New Moon" premiere last November 20 was a huge success! Premieres and screenings have taken place across the country, and loads of folks have gathered to watch. The New Moon opening weekend sales are the third highest grosses of all time. "New Moon" pulled over $ 140 million at home, blasting weekend estimates of $ 85 to $ 100 million right out of the water. Only "The Dark Knight" and "Spiderman 3" had bigger opening weekends at the US box office. ?New Moon? also pulled in the most money for midnight ticket sales, earning $ 26.3 million at the box office Thursday in the US before the opening Friday shows. It?s likely those who were short of cash paid for their tickets with an allowance advance rather than a loan till payday, but filmmakers and theaters don?t care where the money comes from.
