Elegant Bride
Unique invitations
As a graphic designer, I love to peruse the web for inspiration for my own work. There's so much beautiful typography, illustration and design to be found on various design websites, but I find some of the best can be found in wedding invitations. Even though I don't have a wedding to plan anytime soon, I drool over the artistry I find in some well-designed wedding stationery. Some of my favorites lately involve custom illustration and letterpress printing methods. Here are three I really love:
The bride, Julia Rothman, used her own illustrations for this one!
For something really whimsical and unique, check out Rifle Paper Co. Anna Bond will create a custom painting and incorporate the painterly elements into your invitations, save-the-dates and even a website. I wonder if the bride gets to keep the original painting for her home?
Anne Benjamin of Mol Duk is an illustrator and printmaker who will conceptualize a beautiful illustration with her client to come up with something truly special. —Jessica Thomas, deputy art director, Elegant Bride
