Ready-to-Wear Review: Dark and sparkly at Vera Wang

Marcio Madeira/Style.com, Dan Lecca
In her Spring 2010 bridal collection Vera made the bold move of adding a black wedding dress (not a bridesmaid dress folks, this one was really meant for the bride) to her line. It seems that her love for the dark translated into her ready-to-wear collection as well where we see similar ruffles and draping that display the "washing machine" look that Ms. Wang told us she was shooting for in bridal. "The dresses are perfectly sewn, but imperfect," she said. In her ready-to-wear collection the styles were accented with draped crystal necklaces and thick belts for a rocker look. —Cari Wolfert
