Where to?

I just finished reading a manuscript about the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, written by our contributing travel editor, Emma Sloley, herself an Australian native. (You'll read the story when our Winter issue hits stands in December.) And once again I add another locale to my "Must Get There Someday" list that includes Fiji, Tahiti, Greece, the Italian Riviera, South Africa and Scottsdale/Sedona, Arizona. (I admit, some of those shouldn't be too hard to pull off.)
When I read about these places in the travel pages of EB, I have fleeting moments when I wish I could honeymoon all over again. But I know I wouldn't do it any differently. I spent two weeks on Maui and Kauai. The locale may be cliche, but there's a reason so many honeymooners end up there. It's a paradise that feels otherworldly, but has all the conveniences of home. For my husband and me, it required exactly as much effort to navigate as we were up for after all that planning. I'd never been as content and carefree on a vacation before, and I probably never will again. So I know I did it right. Tell us: Where are you honeymooning? And what's on your Must Get There Someday list? —Kara Corridan, executive editor, Elegant Bride
