Vampires say “I do” on True Blood

Prashant Gupta/HBO
Halloween isn't until next month, but if you're looking for ideas for a spooky wedding, you're in luck. Last weekend's finale episode of True Blood began with a fabulous wedding moment, vampire style: Maryann donned an old-fashioned wedding dress borrowed from Sookie's grandmother and staged a fantastically gory wedding ceremony. And without giving away all the details, let's just say that the wedding colors ended up being more blood red than bridal white.
Looking for more ideas for a vamp-tastic wedding? Maryann's gown is a great inspiration for anyone planning a Halloween or gothic wedding (the gown was designed by the show's costume designer Audrey Fisher). And don't forget to check out these photos from True Blood actress Kristin Bauer's wedding and take a look at this series on True Blood inspired weddings from blogger It's a Jaime Thing. —Kathryn Papanek
