Color your world
The Dessy Group/Pantone
It's very important to be crystal clear when describing the colors for your wedding. You shouldn't just tell vendors that you want a blue wedding because the color blue is available in a wide range of shades: Sky, Robin's Egg, Tiffany, Royal, Navy and Midnight to name a few. You need to be specific and now with the help of Pantone and The Dessy Group you can be.
Starting today, brides can research color options from the world's leading color authority, Pantone and bridesmaid and special occasion manufacturer, The Dessy Group. (Labels include: Lela Rose Bridesmaids, Dessy Collection, After Six, Alfred Sung and Sandals Destination Wedding Dresses) Here's how it works: Using the Pantone Wedding Style Board (exclusively available at dessy.com/pantone) brides can create a digital inspiration board using 200 Pantone Wedding color chips. Once you select the color(s) you think you want for your wedding palette Dessy products—dresses, accessories, menswear —will popup to show you what is available in those colors for your bridal party. You can also upload your own images of cakes, flowers, stationery and other inspirational images to create an inspiration board for your wedding. The board can be saved and edited over time as well as printed and emailed to your vendors and bridal party. You can also embed the boards onto your wedding Web site or blog.
Once you have finalized the colors in your wedding palette, you can order a Pantone Wedding swatch card that can be divided into 14 individual "swatches" for you to share with all of your vendors so that everyone is on the same page when it comes to the color scheme for your big day. —Anne Chertoff
