    The icing's off the cake

Momofuku, a Korean-American noodle bar that opened in Manhattan's East Village in 2004, is way up on the hipster hotlist. But when the Momofuku Milk Bar (their quirky version of a bakery) dove into the wedding cake business a couple weeks ago, we took pause. Not that we'd expect this cool company to do something trad. But imagine our surprise when we realized the cakes they are offering are (drumroll please) frosting-free! No frosting? No way! We haven't gotten around to tasting the cake, but we're not convinced....On the other hand, we're wild for the compost cookies, filled with pretzels and potato chips and held together with chocolate and butterscotch chips. Now THAT'S a favor we can embrace. —Sherri, BRIDES Magazine
