Jewelry event alert!

A question I'm frequently asked is for a good resource for elegant and affordable bridesmaids gifts. Jewelry—tailored specifically to each girl's taste, of course—is always a guaranteed hit, and one of my favorite lines of bridesmaid-appropriate jewelry is Diana Warner Studio. The Chelsea-based designer handcrafts her necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets from her studio on 28th Street; her line ranges from bold, statement-making baubles to more delicate, classic pieces. She also has a line of jewelry that gives back—purchases from the Obligato Collection (which includes the necklace seen here) help provide clean drinking water in Africa. All of the pieces are available on her website, but New York brides can see the jewelry in person on Wednesday, September 9, at the {Pre} Retail Showcase at the Open House Gallery at 201 Mulberry Street. There, you can shop the Diana Warner collection at this fashion and shopping event, hosted by the Alchemy Social Club, along with nearly a dozen other up-and-coming jewelry and fashion lines. The free event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. —Lauren Matthews, Editor, Brides New York
