Picked your wedding colors yet?

You'd think it would be as easy as naming your favorite color, then finding a complementary shade to add a little interest. Not so fast. Before you decide on your wedding colors, consider how they'll look in your reception space. A warm tone such as gold or salmon creates coziness—if your site doesn't have much natural light, this is like giving the room a decorative hug. Cool hues (green, purple) make a space seem large and airy. Good choices for bright rooms, they can look washed-out in artificial light—something to keep in mind at an evening party.
