Modern Bride
Wave of the future
A large part of my job here at Modern Bride is art-directing photo shoots. Sometimes they are shot on location in interesting places, and other times we shoot them in various NYC studios. It is a collaboration of many people: photographer, photo editor, fashion editor, accessories editor, models, hair and makeup professionals, assistants... the list goes on. It is one of the most satisfying and creative aspects of my job.
Recently, some of our best photographers have been bringing along Flip and video cameras and shooting little movies as well as taking photos. It is the wave of the future and another way to present our readers with interesting imagery in addition to the beautiful photographs that appear in the magazine. Check back in the next week to get a sneak peek at our first video by noted photographer Stephanie Pfriender Stylander.
