Modern Bride
Photo frenzy

My husband of almost four months and I just moved into a new apartment, and we are once again facing the difficult task of decorating the place to suit both of our tastes. This becomes even trickier now that we have wedding photographs thrown into the mix.
"I don't want to be one of those couples that plasters pictures from the wedding all over the place," my husband replied the other night when I suggested a few strategically placed frames. I know what he means; being at the age where many of our friends are getting married, we've definitely visited houses where the prevalence of shots of the bride and groom kissing, dancing or gazing into each other's eyes on display is nauseating at best and narcissistic at worst.
But I'm torn because I also adore our photos (and deep down I know he does, too). Plus, we didn't pay for all those prints just to store them in some box on a shelf. My solution is to narrow them down to a select few favorites—and scatter them far enough apart that even my not-so-sentimental husband can stand them.
Tell us, do you think there is such a thing as wedding photo overkill? —Elaine Stuart, senior associate features/travel editor, Modern Bride
