Group dance songs for your "do not play" list
Some songs that are played at weddings are so bad that they're good. These aren't. I asked around to see what songs brides and grooms don't want played at their wedding and the overwhelming majority abhorred group dance songs. I agree, so remember to mention these songs to your band or DJ to make sure they aren't heard at your wedding. —Cari Wolfert

Couldn't agree more!
I thought the point of including one or two of those songs was to get everyone loosened up and out on the dance floor. Everyone looks goofy doing the YMCA. I thought that was the idea--to look goofy together. ?
I thought the point of those "group dance" songs was to get everyone loosened up and out on the dance floor. Everyone looks goofy doing the YMCA, but everyone also knows how to dance to that song. Isn't that the point--to look goofy together?
Who cares. I plan on playing a few of those songs, if not half of them. Isn't the point to get out there and have fun? Dada dada dada da, Dada dada dada da, Dada dada dada da da da da da. Whoo flap those arms!
