Runway Review
Simply soft from Alfred Angelo
This morning we stopped by the Alfred Angelo showroom to get a special sneak peek at their new Spring 2010 collection. "It's a season of simplicity with simple shapes yet bold decorations," designer Micheal Shettel told us. Among the styles seen was this organza over satin dress from the Sapphire line ($1,349) that features rhinestones, pearls, crystal beading and sequins along with a semi-cathedral train. This dress is also among the styles that will give the customer the choice of a lace-up or zip back.
As for bridesmaids, Shettel tells us that shorter styles are becoming more popular, and that 'maids opting for chiffon instead of the once prominent satin. This dress from Alfred Angelo's new Little Black Dress collection (the dress is actually offered in more colors than black) was an adorable stand-out number with its chic neckline and modern print look. —Cari Wolfert
