Wedding Dresses
Wedding frocks from chloe & reese

Chloe & Reese is a great go-to line for fun and modern dresses, and now the line has come out with a new collection of bridal-inspired wear called Ardour. Ardour will feature a range of party frocks in a variety of silhouettes (long, short, one-shoulder, high waists) as well as lots of fabrics and colors to choose from allowing dresses to be worn for either brides or bridesmaids. The full price range of the line is $260 - $460 with most styles costing around $300. To get ourselves aquantied with the line we spoke with Ardour designer Annmarie Scotto about why she decided to start the line and what really makes it modern:
What inspired you to start designing dresses for weddings?
We began to receive calls and requests shortly after the chloe & reese collection launched in January 2008 from brides all over the world who had seen the chloe & reese styles at popular retailers like Harrod's of London and Saks Fifth Avenue and wanted to request the dresses specifically for their bridal parties and wedding occasions...
As more requests came in, we realized that our classic and sophisticated, yet flirty and feminine styles coupled with our customization options would offer something truly special for the bridal market.
What style elements do you incorporate into your dresses to give them a modern feel?
Many of the styles we offer are classic party dresses updated for the modern glamour girl. The shapes are flattering and feminine; featuring high-waisted gathered skirts with versatile necklines. From a deep V or a strapless, to a one shoulder flirty dress, we want bridesmaids and brides to look modern, as well as feel gorgeous in our dresses. Because of these classic, yet modern styles, the dresses can be worn after the wedding, becoming an essential wardrobe piece as a go-to party dress.
What type of wedding do you see your dresses being worn to?
From a black-tie Penthouse wedding in Manhattan, to a summer beach wedding in Nantucket, to an Autumn wedding in the English countryside; the line offers such a versatility for brides who have a taste for fine quality, classic styles and a modern twist.
