What should the mother of the bride wear?
This week in our Brides.com Forums brides are talking about whether the mother of the bride's dress needs to match the bridesmaids' outfits. See what our brides are saying here and then take a look at these stylish summer dresses for the mother of the bride:
Some brides think it's fine if she doesn't match. "I don't know of any rule that dictates the mother of the bride needs to coordinate with the wedding party. She just needs to wear something she'll look pretty in," says HappyGirl13.
Others feel that mothers should consider the bridesmaids' dresses when choosing their outfits. "The formality of their dresses should coordinate with the bride's and bridesmaids' dresses," says Mobkathy.
And some brides think the mother should try to match the wedding colors. "Just choose a color for them that compliments your wedding colors because they will be in pictures and you don't want them standing out to much," says Tashalynn.
