Modern Bride
Ideas for the Modern (Non) Bride

Courtesy of Benefit Cosmetics
I have to admit that when I first started my internship here at Modern Bride, I didn't really know what to expect. Being 20 years old, I am nowhere near marriage. Marriage is not even a blip on my radar. With that said, I was worried about finding my rhythm with the staff and actually liking what I was doing. Five weeks later, I can say I truly love it here and I enjoy reading the magazine.
Even though I'm not getting married, there's a lot in Modern Bride that catches my attention. In the August/September issue, on newsstands now, the "Real Bride, Real Beauty" column had great ideas... for natural-looking makeup that will stay throughout the day with minimal touchups. My favorite product on this page is Benefit's Benetint Lip and Cheek Stain: It's perfect for day or night, especially when I'm at the beach. It gives the ultimate rosy glow without making me look sunburned.
If you're in to traveling, like I am, you have to check out "The World's 50 Best Honeymoons." From European excursions to tropical island getaways, the MB staff covered it all, including exactly where to stay and what to do. It inspired me to plan a spring break trip with my friends. I'm thinking either Greece or St. Lucia, but I don't think I can go wrong with either location! —Jenna Frimmel, features intern, Modern Bride
