Modern Bride
Our Last Modern Bride of the Year
Last week, I received the sweetest e-mail from Megan Robillard, our incredible 2008 Modern Bride of the Year. Megan is marrying her fiance, Ryan, this Saturday, but she still found the time to write us this note to wish us well with the 2009 contest:
"I just saw that the voting is underway for the next Modern Bride of the Year...very exciting! I still can't tell you how amazing the experience was for Ryan and me—we're still reveling in the excitement of it a year later! You would think Ryan would get sick of saying, 'Did you know she was the Modern Bride of the Year?'...but nope! Tell everyone I said hi, and best of luck with this year's contest."
It's so rewarding for us on staff to hear what a positive experience our contest was for Megan, and it makes us even more eager to meet this year's five finalists and discover who will take the title. There's no question our winner will have huge shoes to fill, but we're confident we have a bride-to-be as beautiful inside and out as Megan in this year's batch of remarkable women.
