Are you planning a Hollywood-themed wedding, or are you and your hubby-to-be movie buffs? Why not make the songs at your wedding play like a soundtrack to a movie by incorporating hit songs from the big screen into your day. Here are some of our favorite songs from movies, and see below to find out what movie these songs are from and when we think you should play them at your affair. —Cari Wolfert

"My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion
    Movie: Titanic
When to play it: To honor deceased relatives at the ceremony

"Take My Breath Away" by Berlin
    Movie: Top Gun
When to play it: Bride's processional

"Kiss From a Rose" by Seal
    Movie: Batman Returns
When to play it: Cocktail hour

"I Say a Little Prayer" by Dionna Warwick
    Movie: My Best Friend's Wedding
When to play it: Make it a rehearsal dinner sing-along (just like in the movie!)

"I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston
    Movie: The Bodyguard
When to play it: First dance

"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith
    Movie: Armageddon
When to play it: Father/Daughter dance (Lead singer Steven Tyler's daughter Liv was in the movie after all)

    "Unchained Melody"
    Movie: Ghost
When to play it: Anniversary dance (Married couples join on the dance floor and are eliminated by the number of years they're been married—from fewest to most)

"In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel
    Movie: Say Anything
When to play it: During dinner

"Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" by Bryan Adams
Movie: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
When to play it: A slow song to get everyone up on the dance floor after the meal

"I've Had the Time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes
    Movie: Dirty Dancing
When to play it: Last dance

    Comments

    1. We're using "She" from Notting Hill for the flower girls' and bride's entrances at our wedding and "As Time Goes By" for a last dance. Even though we know the original use was in Casablanca, we are using the Jimmy Durante version used in Sleepless in Seatle.

I know that "I Will Always Love You" is a beautiful song but has anyone listened to the lyrics...it's about a break-up -she's leaving him for his own good - not my idea of a great sentiment to start off a marriage!
