What if he picked your gown?

Courtesy of Renegade Pictures
I'm addicted to "Don't Tell the Bride," a reality show on BBC America. Each episode, a couple gets $20,000 in order to create their dream wedding—the catch being that the groom has to plan the whole thing himself! He gets to choose every piece of the celebration, from the invitations to the location to the (gulp) dress. Would any of you allow your fiance to pick out your gown? And what do you think you'd end up with? Scary or strangely exciting? Tell all! —Kristen, BRIDES Magazine

My husband proposed to me on my birthday and I was thrilled and said yes. He then told me he was pleased as we were getting married in two weeks time in Las Vegas he had planned everything - which he found really amusing as I am an event planner and plan weddings all the time.
We had a fantastic time, he organised the chapel, flowers, car, photograhy, my two friends to surprise me as witnesses and our beautiful celebration dinner at Olives afterwards - it was a beautiful day and I love that he was brave enough to do it!

Love that! I asked my fiance to choose the wine, and he came with me to a bunch of appointments (flowers, caterer, etc.), but I don't think he had the same kind of "big picture" outlook that I did about the wedding. That said, we both felt the wedding was exactly what we wanted.
