Modern Bride
Making a List, Checking it Twice

I'll admit it. I love to make lists. A notebook that sits on my desk is filled with lines of "Things to Do:" little boxes filled with check marks that serve as a reminder of things accomplished...and things left to finish! Post-It notes surround my computer screen and scraps of paper line the bottom of my purse, all scribbled with things to remember: "Mail cable bill, call dentist, send birthday present to Mom." When I pack for a trip, I inevitably write myself a note to include things like my toothbrush and cell phone charger. I don't trust myself to remember all the tiny details, so it helps me to see it written out on paper.
Since you're planning a wedding, you know how many minute details there are to keep track of. There may be things you aren't even taking into consideration yet. In our August/September issue of Modern Bride, on newsstands now, there are pages of checklists to keep you on schedule. Give yourself—and your mind—a break and allow us to help you keep track of all those wedding-related things to do, and then take great satisfaction at crossing each thing off the list. Happy planning! PS: What's the one thing on your to-do list that you keep putting off? —Abbe Wright, assistant to the editor-in-chief, Modern Bride
