Brides are Talking
Would you wear a promise ring?

This week in our Brides.com Forums brides are talking about whether they feel comfortable wearing promise rings before they are officially engaged. See what our brides are saying here:
Some brides like the idea of wearing a promise ring. "We were going to get engaged but with our age and finances decided it wouldn't be wise," says BrighterThanSunshine. "So he is going to get me a promise ring so that at least it feels like a stronger commitment than before."
Others would prefer to wear to engagement ring. "I guess they're okay for teenagers, but if you're going to promise to get engaged one day why not just get engaged then and have a long engagement?" says Headoverheels8.
And some brides suggest wearing the ring on a different finger so that it's not mistaken for an engagement ring. "I was thinking maybe you could wear on the left hand, middle finger until you get an engagement ring," says Ashes2ashes.

I believe it is a sweet gesture and age should not matter. Two months before my fiance asked me to marry him he gave a nice size promise ring. I had never heard of a promise ring so of course I thought it was a nice idea.
