Last night I did some very tough "research" at the Carlton hotel here in New York—I got a hand massage with Molton Brown products (try the lavendar scent if you're feeling stressed), a back massage and skin consult from Oasis Day Spa (I promise you'll be knot-free after this one), and a makeup touch-up from Benefit Cosmetics (who doesn't need that?). It's part of the pampering that the hotel is offering to brides who book their wedding at the hotel, which has a mezzanine that would make a fun space for a cocktail-style reception.
