It's always nice when items at your wedding can do double duty—a centerpiece that's also a favor, a bouquet that's can also serve as an accent arrangement. That's why I was immediately drawn to these escort cards-and-favors-in-one by Somerville-based Almost Sunday Designs. On the front of the envelope is a seal with the guest's name and table number, and you can put a mix CD inside (Almost Sunday will create a matching label for the CD). It's cute, functional, and cost-effective. Colors are customizable to match your decor. Visit Almost Sunday Designs' Etsy site for more information.—Kim Forrest, Editor, Brides Boston

You are talking about double duty invitations, well I bought my material for my wedding dress and it's a light peach/pink color. I bought enough to do my dress, a flower girl dress and then some. I was playing around with invitation ideas one day and had a brilliant idea to use the extra material from my dress...I put a stabilizer on the back and cut it into paper size and sent it through the printer...IT WORKED! It looks great too, the invitations are burgundy with orange vellum and then the pink/peach material on top with brown script lettering. They look very class and very expensive, but were very in-expensive to do...I added a little extra to the actual papers by trimming the corners with a decorative corner cutter/punch I picked up at craft store, just to add that extra elegant touch.
