Trying to say yes to the dress

I desperately wanted my dress decision to be an easy one, a no-brainer. My fiance and I have thought so long and hard about every other big choice, when I started looking at gowns I'd hoped that one of the first designs I tried would be hands down, without a doubt "the one." No such luck, although my fortune from a recent lunch at a Chinese restaurant has my hopes up. It says, "A new wardrobe brings great joy and change to your life." I know an entire closet full of new clothes isn't coming my way, but a beautiful ivory wedding dress certainly is. I'll take this as a sign I'm close.
In four shopping trips I've found five gowns that I love (I'm down, for now, to three that I'm seriously considering), so my indecision has nothing to do with not finding anything I like. Instead, I've surprised myself by becoming wrapped up in all the hype that surrounds this all-important garment. I'll wear it for only a few hours, yet it's the most lavish, expensive clothing purchase I'll probably ever make. On top of this, I'll be looking at it in photos for years to come. I live in fear that I'll make the wrong choice and regret it forever. This is why I wanted to love only one, not many. I have to take a step back, I know, but has anyone else been consumed by similar thoughts?
My friend who's getting married in July says that she liked a lot of dresses, too, and finally just had to pick one. I think I'll follow her lead and stop waiting for that aha! moment to hit. If I buy one of several dresses I love, can the decision possibly be a bad one? Besides, I think the theory that there's only "the one" should be reserved for the groom. —Michaela Garibaldi, assistant managing editor, Modern Bride

I don't get what these pictures have to do with weddings. Show me the dress not your staff....
