Modern Bride
As seen on TV
Has anyone watched the new CW reality show Hitched or Ditched? I'm not sure if I find it terribly entertaining or just terrible. I couldn't change the channel, but the entire 20 minutes I caught made me cringe in embarrassment for the featured couple. The premise: Committed couples are faced with the decision to break up or get married... in one week. Each episode follows two people through their wedding-planning process, which inevitably brings out whatever conflict has, so far, prevented them from taking the next step on their own. In the episode I saw, the lavish ceremony ended with the groom breaking up with his bride (who'd already said "I do"). Lots of tears followed. It was hard to watch and I almost felt bad for doing so.
