Creating order

Nothing makes me crazier than clutter. It doesn't take much to throw me into a frenzy of cleaning, tossing and organizing. From my cubicle to my apartment (except for that one corner where my fiance insists on stashing miscellaneous stuff), I, for the most part, work and live in clutter-free zones. Planning a wedding hasn't made this an easy task. On my desk at home we have pages from magazines, swatches, contracts, vendor proposals, demo DVDs and our own notes piled high. With over a year still to go, our collection of wedding planning materials is bound to double (triple?) in size. I definitely don't want to the mess to go away--I need what I've gathered for inspiration down the road--it just has to be made manageable.
I recently came across a great site that I think will help. You may not share my aversion to disorder, but as a bride with a surplus of pamphlets and paperwork of your own, I think you'll find this helpful, too. Sortingwithstyle.com sells practical supplies in cute prints and fun colors. Among them, address books, portfolios, agendas, journals and sticky notes. My pick: a file tote with a vintage floral design. It hasn't arrived yet, but I can't wait for my papers to be in one easy-to-transport place so I can keep track of everything and lose nothing--including my mind. —Michaela Garibaldi, assistant managing editor, Modern Bride
