An engagement ring from outer space

For some brides, a traditional engagement ring is definitely the way to go. But if you're searching for a symbol of your commitment that's really out of this world, why not look to the stars? Last week's Los Angeles Star Trek premiere was truly a dazzling affair, with celebrities decked out in Neil Lane's new collection of meteorite diamond and platinum jewels from outer space. I especially love this "Commit ring" (left) that Zoe Saldana wore to the event. Designed to look like a swirling comet, the ring would be a great engagement ring for a Trekkie or science-loving bride.
