Meredith Grey's surprisingly sparkly wedding dress

Craig Sjodin/ABC
Though she originally preferred a simpler dress, Meredith Grey of Grey's Anatomy chose this Kenneth Pool number ($7,250, amsale.com) for her wedding to Patrick Dempsey's character Derek Shepard. Christina also wore a Kenneth Pool gown (see it here) for her wedding to Dr. Burke back in Season 3 (we had a feeling that Grey's was going choose a dress from them again!). Amsale, who now designs the Kenneth Pool line, also designed Izzie's infamous pink dress that she wore to the hospital prom in Season 2 the night that Denny died.
Meredith's Lana dress features beaded tulle and crystal embroidery. The producer and costume designer chose the gown because they wanted a dress that they thought would be every girl's fantasy. They hit it right on the nose, so much so that the producer who is engaged also chose a Kenneth Pool dress while at the studio to wear to her upcoming nuptials! —Cari Wolfert
