Runway Review
Peter Langner
New York—Zarina, Zaza, Zeta, Yolanda, Vivienne—designer Peter Langner placed the dresses in his new collection at the end of the alphabet. Langner works with beautiful fabrics, sometimes folding it into soft wings down the back. He showed one gown, a scalloped edge banded column dress, that exuded mummy —but in a good way.
And this one pictured here, where you can see the accordion bodice with flower bunches along the neckline. At the beginning of the show, a champagne cork popped in the back of the room and indeed the dresses flowed with that sentiment.—Michelle Preli
