Relax in an urban rainforest

Looking for a time out from wedding planning? If you live in San Francisco, then head to Tru Spa, located in the Hilton San Francisco Financial District Hotel and ask for the "Pair's Polish" treatment.
Designed to be more interactive and romantic than the typical couple's spa experience, the exfoliating and hydrating treatment takes place inside the spa's Tropical Rainforest Room. After rubbing each other down with a sugar-based exfoliating and brightening scrub through the guidance of a therapist from behind closed doors, you'll rinse off and experience a massage application of a body mask of strawberry, cream, and honey. The room then becomes engulfed with steam, followed by a warm "tropical" rain and an invigorating waterfall flowing into an infinity soaking tub. You'll finish by rubbing each other down with the spa's own TruShea Butter Balm, and then relaxing with a glass of champagne.
The 110 minute treatment costs $200 per couple. Call 415.399.9700 to make a reservation. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Northern California
