Northern California is the epicenter of creating food made with locally produced, freshly prepared ingredients—a movement that happily extends into the realm of baked goods. To truly impress your foodie friends at your wedding, I recommend serving cupcakes from Whiskie Bits Bakeshop.
This Oakland-based bakery uses sustainably-grown or organic ingredients from local farmer's markets—as well as seasonal herbs and cage-free organic eggs—to create stylish treats with unusual flavor combinations, like Rosemary's Orange (orange cake, rosemary herb, pine nuts with rosemary-orange buttercream frosting), PB & Chocochili (peanut butter cake, Mexican chocolate chunks, Mexican chili peppers with chili-spiced chocolate ganache frosting), and Caramel Macchiato (bittersweet chocolate and espresso cake with caramel and fleur de sel cream cheese frosting).
