Bara Luxe debuts

Bridal CollectionShopping for a wedding dress can be a frustrating experience for fuller figured brides, since most salons don't carry any samples over a size 12. But a new collection is aiming to fix that. Bara Luxe is a line of wedding gowns designed specifically for sizes 16 to 28. The designs, which are sampled in sizes 20, 24 and 28, come in fabrics like silk satin, silk chiffon, and silk taffeta, and retail between $1,500 to $5,000.
The line will be debuting along with the Bara Champagne collection (which comes in sizes 4 through 20, and features designs inspired by the glamour of Old Hollywood) at eDressMe in New York City with trunk shows on March 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Brides who purchase a dress on either day will receive a 20 percent discount, and a raffle will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. with the winner choosing a Bara dress of her choice from the available styles. Visit edressme.com to make an appointment. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides New York
