Now open

Courtesy of Priscilla of Boston
Just recently, Priscilla of Boston opened its first all-inclusive California salon in San Francisco's Union Square. The venerable wedding-gown company (Tricia Nixon and Luci Johnson both wore the designer at their White House weddings) has been steadily reinvigorating itself over the past several years, and now has five gown lines, helmed by talented designers with distinctive points of view.
The new 2nd floor space is large and bright, with 14 luxurious dressing rooms. Along with the Priscilla of Boston collection, you'll find gowns from Melissa Sweet, Reverie by Melissa Sweet, Platinum for Priscilla of Boston, and the lower-priced Vineyard line. In addition to personalized assistance from consultants, the salon offers on-site fittings and the possibility of working one-on-one with the designers themselves. The new salon is located at 170 Grant Avenue; call 415-951-0440 for an appointment. —Lauren Matthews, editor, Brides Northern California
